Our wedding day was beautifully chaotic and filled with so much love. We didn't expect anything otherwise, bringing two horses to be such a huge part of our day. It was 39 degrees the day of our wedding, I ripped my wedding dress, one of the horses started peeing during the ceremony, and my (now) husband's horse cared more about the bison than the ceremony. But that is the beauty of life, the joy of marriage. All of those things made the day hilarious, light-hearted, and so memorable. My husband found a garter snake in the lawn that he was able to catch; one of our horses got to try a balsamic tomato, and nobody got heatstroke! Every bit of that chaotic day represented a little bit of us. We're so grateful we had the ability to start the next chapter of our lives somewhere so beautiful, surrounded by everyone we love, especially the animals.

Jaide & James's Wedding Day
September 5, 2024
There are few wedding venues that blend stunning mountain views, riverside serenity, and the unforgettable presence of wild bison quite like Fraser River Lodge. For this couple, the Lodge became the perfect backdrop for a day that was as untraditional as it was full of love. From soaring summer temperatures to four-legged guests who kept everyone laughing, their celebration was proof that even the unexpected moments can make a wedding unforgettable. Surrounded by family, friends, and the beauty of nature, they created memories that reflected exactly who they are joyful, adventurous, and a little bit wild.
