Helicopter Glacier Kayaking in BC

Every spring, alpine and glacial lakes begin to thaw along the shoreline, revealing extraordinary looking blue water. The melt water follows the contours of the lake shore, giving the illusion that it is a river, but it is perfectly still. Embark on a helicopter flight through the spectacular mountains with magnificent views over endless mountains and valleys, waterfalls cascading over granite cliffs, turquoise rivers winding their way through lush temperate rain forests.

Choose from glacier melt water kayaking or paddle boarding and enjoy complete peace and serenity. Vibrant blue melt water is only available in June. Once the lake is ice free, the best time to visit is late July to the start of October.

The tour includes a 60 minute round trip sightseeing flight from our home base in rural Abbotsford, use of kayaks or paddle boards, 4 hours on location, trip photos, and BBQ shore lunch.

During the month of June, the snow along the edges of frozen lakes melts first, revealing vibrant blue colors. By late July, all the ice is melted off the lake, revealing the lake’s summer colors. This is great for paddling leisurely across glacial lakes. Enjoy this once in a lifetime adventure with your partner, family or friends. Experience Spectacular BC.
