Fishing ReportsOctober 2019: Reflecting on another amazing season at The Fraser River Lodge!
As we wrap up our season we want to thank all our wonderful guests for making it another memorable year. Our team of guides worked hard to get our guests into fish and create memories for a lifetime! Our amazing lodge staff also went above and beyond to create an amazing experience on and off the water. Of course the sturgeon fishing remains strong through November so if you are considering a last minute trip we can take care of you. It was another solid season for Coho Salmon for those that were patient. Rewards of chrome bright fish were well worth the effort! Pinks were strong this year with great results with the fly and jig. There were many days of limits for our happy customers. We worked hard for the Chum Salmon but were rewarded with great days of catching these big powerful salmon. Fly fishing and spin fishing were both effective methods and the fight was as expected.. amazing! Wilderness fishing remains strong with lots of bull trout, rainbow trout and salmon. There is nothing like getting away from it all and being rewarded with lots of aggressive fish. If breathtaking scenery, wildlife viewing (bears, elk, eagles etc) and wild fish (all with no cell reception!) sounds like your kind of day be sure to book a wilderness trip on your visit to the Fraser River Lodge. If you are looking to book a trip for 2020 we recommend doing so as soon as possible as prime dates are selling out fast.
