Fishing British Columbia - Fraser River LodgeA Luxury Wilderness & Fishing Resort on the Outskirts of Vancouver BC

Fraser River Fishing Report, Sept.07, 2010

Good news on the sockeye front. As it stands today, it seems like sockeye salmon are open for retention through September 19. This is fantastic news. If you are interested in a last minute trip, call 604-796-1210.

Despite having had a commercial opening in the last 24 hours (until 7 am this morning), fishing was very good. We have landed many king salmon via spinning method, the largest one weighing in at 40 lbs sharp. Sockeye fishing was slower, but we still managed to catch our limit. We expect an increase in fresh and chrome sockeye salmon migrating up our river system as of tomorrow again.

"Chad Staiger with a chrome sockeye salmon".

Fraser River Fishing Report, Sept.05, 2010

Sunday morning and I just got out of the walk in freezer after sorting our guests fish out. Hard to imagine that there was ever a time when the Fraser River had more fish than what we currently experience. The sockeye numbers are now up to 34,000,000 (Thirty Four Million) - the largest sockeye salmon run since 1914 on record. One must love global warming ... .

Fraser River Fishing Report, Sept.03, 2010

The wonderful fishing season continues with a big run of king salmon and still sockeye abundant. For now we are in fishing heaven. Sturgeon fishing has slowed down a bit in the upper Fraser River, but the Fraser Canyon and the lower river as well as the Harrison River produce well with average size sturgeon of 6 feet on a daily basis. Wilderness fishing is incredible and fishing Valhalla for any nature lover. Enjoy the pictures ...
