Fishing British Columbia - Fraser River LodgeA Luxury Wilderness & Fishing Resort on the Outskirts of Vancouver BC

Fraser River Fishing Report, Sept.01, 2010

After a few days of heavenly rain, we have the sunshine back that spoiled us over the past couple of months. Over the last few days, our guests enjoyed the days of the kings, without paying a kings ransom. Here are a few pictures of some happy and some even more happy guests from all over the world. Sturgeon fishing has been strong and so has the wilderness fishing adventures, but today`s pics are all in the name of the kings.

Fraser River Fishing Report, Aug.30, 2010

The salmon season started with carefully statistics of about 8 Million sockeye salmon to migrate up the mighty Fraser River. This number grew and grew and ... grew. We are now at 30,000,000 - Thirty Million - sockeye salmon and no end in sight. Despite those huge numbers, we did have a few slow days because the commercial net fisher basically blocked the entire river. We got a few sockeye and some nice kings, but in the next day or so, the sockeye Bonanza should continue. Wilderness fishing has been excellent and so was the sturgeon fishery in the last few day. The most amazing fact is that some smaller tributaries are so jam packed with spawning salmon that there seems to be not enough space for everybody - must be global warming.
