Fraser River Fishing Report, August 17, 2010

Today was no different than yesterday - limited out with salmon within about 45 minutes, caught some beautiful sturgeon and we have had another fantastic wilderness expedition today, led by Karen Sherwood, the event organizer for this exciting and aprreciative group. Tomorrow we`ll do the same - catch LOTS of fish, have a GREAT DAY and a memorable experience.

"A perfect day of salmon fishing".

We are already excited, because tomorrow after the fishing and fun, we are having a dinner special on Seabird Island - a traditional First Nations dinner hosted by our friends Don and Gayle for the entire group. Report and pictures to follow ...

We are currently hosting the prestigious "La Chaine des Rotisseurs", an international gastronomie association with roots in Paris devoted to fine dining. What a pleasure hosting 24 of the Chaine des Rotisseurs members this week at our lodge for 5 course gourmet dining with fine wine combined with incredible salmon and sturgeon fishing.

We limited out on salmon this morning in less than 35 minutes - that means 48 sockeye salmon in the box. After that we have landed several nice sturgeon. Pics are coming soon. Thanks to Karen Sherwood for organizing this amazing event over the last year!!

We run some wilderness jet boat expeditions with guests from Europe who were simply amazed about the wild and beautiful landscape we call home.  Here is a pic...

Weather like in the Caribbean, a light breeze to bring the temperatures to a perfect level, clear mountain views and lots of fish. What more can we ask for? We are blessed to call this area home where it always seems to be mild weather and we can fish year round in a variety of streams, rivers and lakes. Here are some happy guests doing what they love ... catching fish on the fly at one of our wilderness fishing trips.

"Sockeye salmon the fly in one of our wilderness rivers. Like father ...".

"Mr. Lee (almost) gets pulled out of the boat while fighting a 700 lbs. sturgeon with his buddies hanging on - that`s what friends are for...".
