Fraser River Fishing Report for May, 2009
65 Sturgeon landed last Saturday! On May 2nd we held our 5th annual Sturgeon Tournament for charity. This year the Agassiz Fire Department was our beneficiary. We had 13 boats head out early on Saturday morning in pursuit of the winning sturgeon and for a chance at the grand prize valued at over $3,000. Sturgeon fishing was incredible, even with the high water levels.

The winning fish was caught by Paul Cramer and came in at 101" (approx 8.5 feet). The battle was 45 minutes long and was lead by our Guide Bob Manyk

Salmon Fishing
We are very pleased with that the run off seems early this year as it is looking like we will be able to start fishing for Chinook by the end of the month. The projected 2009 salmon return is very good and we are all looking forward to a strong start for the season. Book your guided salmon trips now for only $175 per person.
Wilderness Fishing
We are in full swing with our wilderness fishing. All rivers are producing lots of trout especially rainbows & dollies. There are also some steelhead still around as we hooked 2 last weekend averaging around 15lb's each. The water is coming up quickly and this changes the runs we fish every week. Right now the water is perfect and the pools are breathtaking for any fly fisherman/woman.
