Fraser River Fishing Report for April, 2009
Wilderness fishing for 3 species of trout and char is in full swing. Our guides are accessing our wilderness areas on a daily basis and after a slower start this month we are doing exceptionally well every day. We fish some areas which we access by high powered jet boats in a landscape that only National Geographic can describe. Our guests from Europe, California and Australia were all hard pressed leaving this untouched area in the evenings to go back to the lodge. Our own selection of flies has been proven to be deadly for trout.
Sturgeon Fishing has been excellent in the past few weeks as the few extra feet of freshet has seemed to move more feed into the river for the Sturgeon which has caused for an increase in activity. We expect the next few weeks to be continually active.
We still have spots available in our annual Sturgeon tournament on May 2nd. Please inquire to see how you can have a chance to catch huge sturgeon, enjoy a great meal and have a chance at thousands of dollars worth of prizes.
