Salmon Fly Fishing on the Fraser River and tributaries starts in mid/late July with the arrival of the King and Sockeye Salmon (Reds) which stay in our system until the beginning of October. The King Salmon, also called Chinook is next on the arrival list in August and will be available on the fly until late October. By mid August the first of over 20 Million of pink salmon (2009, 2011…) hit our water system which is FULL with salmon during the 2nd to 4th September week. By mid September the first Chum Salmon arrive which are available until mid/late November followed by the migration of the elusive Coho Salmon (Silver) in October to November.

Our area offers good Trout fishing opportunities throughout the year. The Coastal Cutthroat Trout, Rainbow Trout, Bull Trout and Dolly Varden Char are the dominant species. Steelhead are present from February to May. We have many fly fishing options year round due to the large variety of rivers, lakes and streams.

We are supplying all gear during your fly fishing holiday with us. That includes fly fishing rods, reels, flies and waders. If you would like to tie your own flies, please visit our FLY PATTERNS  for a large variety of local flies.

We pride ourselves that all our flies are hand tied. I personally love to tie flies - it is my "therapy". The flies we are using are as diversified as our beautiful province of British Columbia. Some of the flies are Wooly Bugger, Minnows, Doc Spratley, Stone Flies, egg patterns and many other flies you`ll will find in our fly pattern section.

The Fraser River Fishing Lodge not only offers the best in guided fly fishing adventures but also fly casting and fly fishing instruction. We can also accommodate large groups of fly fishers who would like to include casting and/or fly-fishing lessons into their guided fly fishing vacations.
