Wilderness Expedition

Where Time Stands Still

P1000476Have you ever had the feeling you wanted to be in the movie “A River Runs Through It”? We take you into areas where movies are made off. You will see National Geographic Country with some of the most beautiful rivers, lakes and streams you can imagine. Some of the tours take you through wild canyons and rapids where bears, bald eagles, seals, deer and other wildlife are abundant. Waterfalls cascade down mountainsides and some peaks sparkle like diamonds when the sun hits their snow-covered peaks. What is better than being in the middle of nowhere, barbecue salmon or bison on the open fire with a fresh cup of coffee or tea… you feel like you are back in another century.

This is a nature lover and photographers dream and many pictures on this web site have been taken on our wilderness excursions. The trip is exciting for anybody who is looking for a trip out of the extra ordinary. Remember the time when you got goose bumps by looking or experiencing certain things? This trip will be one of those days.

20071208-DSC_0174This is a 110 mile expedition style day trip with a heated and fully covered custom built boat with a high powered jet engine. Our jet boat pilots are very experienced and run those waters on a regular basis. The day starts with the crossing of a 44 mile long lake and at the end of the lake we enter a new world – a remote and pristine wilderness river that curves through rugged mountains and canyons. On many spots in the river, the water is too shallow to stop, since the boat has to stay on plane in order to run water as shallow as 6 inches, but we have many fantastic spots to stop.

We run this wilderness system year round and on some days the water level determines how far we can get into the system. It is a mind-blowing experience and one of the things you should do before you die. Guests who are not comfortable with waves should not participate in this trip, since the lake crossing can be occasionally “wavy”.

Trip length: approx. 6 hours
Cost: CAD $900 for up to 4 guests.
