"'Wow' is the only word Ward and I can find to describe our fishing trip to Fraser River Lodge. Ward is a retired Army colonel and we've seen a great deal of beautiful places, but nothing can compare with the beautiful scenery of the Fraser River and Chilliwack. It's too bad that I can't market a pill that would send us back to the Fraser River with a simple swallow.

There is so much I can say but I'll try to keep it short. Our guide, Brad, went out of his way to insure that we had a memorable fishing experience. He was most professional and knew the right fishing spots. I was a little depressed the first day because I couldn't get the hang of catching the salmon. He was so kind to "hook" a salmon and let me reel it in so I would know what to do. After his great teaching, I was casting with the best of them and caught the biggest sockeyes the second day. I showed Brad and Ward who the best was that day. I also can't believe that I caught a sturgeon that weighed more than I did. I only weigh 96 lbs. and that sturgeon weighed over 200 lbs. Brad put the belt on me and I was determined to show the guys that I could bring this fighting monster. Ward helped a little bit but I did bring him in to shore. What a story to tell my friends.

Frank, thanks for making my anniversary such a memorable one. Ward walked into the room and there was the champagne on ice, flowers and a wonderful card. He was speechless and was so grateful.

It was great being so close to the Fraser River with no traffic or city noise. We walked the nature trail to catch the very scenic and gorgeous views of the Lodge and the Fraser River. On the way up, we realized why the bench was placed where it was. We certainly needed a rest right at that spot.

The other highlight of our trip was of course the food. The meals he prepared were simply the best. We were especially impressed with the shrimp and pineapple dish where he carved the pineapple to look like a fish. What a scrumptious and enjoyable dish.
Anyone who doesn't take advantage of the evening meals at the lodge is missing a great part of the fantastic experience.

Again Frank, we can't thank you and your staff for such an enjoyable visit. I could talk forever about our wonderful anniversary present and our great escape to the Fraser River Fishing Lodge. We can't wait for next year. I'll certainly mark each day with anticipation.

Since Brad instructed me on catching Salmon, Sturgeon, and Dolly Varden, I feel like a pro. We certainly hope that Brad can be our guide next year. He's the BEST!
